self-care 101

This podcast is for anyone who’s ever had a crappy Monday. Or a hangover. Or failed a test. Or had an off-day when you wanted to be on.

This week’s podcast is just some self-care 101. I share a whole list of different things you can do to feel better, and feel better quickly. If you commit to one or all of these practices, I know you will see improvements in your mood.

At the end of the day, we all just want to feel a little bit better, so take some time to invest in yourself and take good care. So…

  1. Light exercise. Do some Yoga with Adriene, or go for a nice walk.
  2. Meditate! Doesn’t have to be intense. Try these Meditations & Kundalini meditations.
  3. Write it all out. Here are some journal prompts & Katie’s journaling book.
  4. Spend time in nature.
  5. Talk to a good friend who’s earned the right to your story. Get vulnerable. Watch Brene Brown TED Talk for inspiration.

  7. Listen to positive music. Here are some good playlists.
  8. Buy yourself a small gift.
  9. Wear clothes that make you feel good.
  10. Take a nap or rest.
  11. Read fiction.
  12. Cook a nice meal.

Do all of these. Do one of these. Feel better.
