how to figure out what you want

How do you figure out what you want in life?

Hint: I think you already know what you want.

Life is huge. Messy. Stressful. Joyful. Heartbreaking. Just when you think you are getting your feet beneath you, it seems like there’s a new twist or turn. It’s really easy to feel helpless, but if you’ve followed me for any period of time, you’ll know I’m big on the concept of choice. You get to choose what you want.

But.

How do you decide what you want? How do you figure out what’s right? Hint, again, you probably already know what you want. This week’s podcast is all about putting that into play. Here are my steps for figuring it out:

  • Check in with your intuition, or your gut. Don’t hear it? Think your gut is confused and can’t decide either? That means something has gone wrong with the way you are listening. Your intuition is always right.
  • Give yourself permission to want what you want. GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSION TO WANT WHAT YOU WANT. This life is just a process of you becoming more you; lean into that.
  • Act. Once you’ve listened and created permission, get out there and act on it. If you don’t live your life to the best of your ability, you are going to feel like crap.

The point is this: it’s time to tune in and stick up for your life. If you are reading this, this is your sign. Tortured souls don’t give to the world; they merely exist to take away. Bring your soul back into the light, decide what to be and go be it.

As per usual, forward this to someone who needs it and consider leaving a review on iTunes. And I challenge you to be kind to yourself AND others this week! Go big or stay home.
